NYC at the Guggenheim opening on December 11! --- Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum’s Frank Lloyd Wright–designed building, the Wright opens to the public for lunch on December 11, with dinner service to begin in mid-January. The Wright combines an upscale atmosphere with a sleek, modern, and comfortable venue, comprising 58 seats and a full-service menu that emphasizes seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients. In the center of the room a casual, European-style bar offers small plates, panini sandwiches, espresso, and drinks. Located across from the rotunda on Fifth Avenue at 88th Street, the restaurant was designed by architect Andre Kikoski, who was inspired by the museum's distinctive design. Reflecting the museum's modern and contemporary focus, a site-specific commission by renowned British artist Liam Gillick creates a truly unique dining experience.
